Yep it seems our soviet soldier is lying in its bunker frozen over with his shotgun in his lap.
Note that this is a copy of the allied soldier killed in his bunker. Westwood simply changed the logo, forgotten to change the name to powell xD
Back when Red Alert was serious, and didn't have all this stereotypical, cartoony stuff like RA3
Actually, RA2 started to be not really serious. Giant Squids, Attack Dolphins, Einsten alive even in 1970, MCBurger Kong fast foods, Paris Tower as a big tesla coil, the cinematics...
But it was really fun.
Oh god STOP with the RA3 hate. This is the most lame argument EVER.
A grittier Era of Soviet based RTS warfare... this game captured and brought to life all of the fears and paranoia that was incited during of the Cold War Era. The original designers (Westwood) knew exactly how to touch the nerves of our human society. Its sad that its legacy allowed it to be turned into a childish game with cartoon graphics and softcore porno by the influence of other developers.
Because RA2 was totally not a Westwood game. And RA1 was soooooooo serious.
I think because RA intended to be TD prequel. :/
and when working on RA2 they try to make something different style.
AND THEN when RA3, EA take the "style" too far.
Exactly... RA2 was somewhat tolerable in this sense, YR was starting to overdo it... then came RA3 where all I have to say is... no comment. :/
