I really love modern-based war games, but Generals poor storyline ruined it all. :(
it had great missions I think. The storyline you all whines about? Just because their aren't any timetraveling paradoxes and meteors from outer space doesn't mean it is poor. Generals is basicly the war on terrorism, death to amerika etc. etc. What happends every day. Generals got the far most relistic storyline of all CnC games, and if you don't like that, then fine, but that doesn't mean it is poor.

GENERALS 2 NOW! C&C Generals was in my opinion an acceptable spinoff to C&C as it was something totally new and somewhat realistic, but yet it kept the majority of the gameplay innovations of Red Alert 2 which is considered the pinnacle of C&C. It could not "soil the holy ground" of previous C&C titles because of it creating a new C&C universe! Its EA's last hope for not screwing up C&C!
EA has ruined the Tiberium and Red Alert universes. I personally don't want them to go anywhere near ruining the Generals universe too.
well judging by the situation both RA and tiberium wars series is in now, EA could do something much more worse than those 2. generals 2 would be lucky enough to survive that. well, i hope that EA doesn't screw up another game, or there would be a world rebellion against those ********, westwood is back where it should have been, and the command and conquer series is once again, in the rightful hands (and if that happens, i hope they scrap cnc4 and RA3).
I mean that it is somewhat poorly developed. After all I still prefer realistic and possible storylines rather that science fiction.
Well, Generals is a great game, but I really don´t understand it storyline.
The only think that I know is that GLA attacked China and USA decided to put his noise on the war (supporting China, as I remember)
I think that EA will not make another Generals game =(
To be C&C, Generals should have awesome FMVs :P

lol it's only a matter of time before they make it tho... they wouldn't give up on it especially since it has one of the largest mod databases and fanbases ever (next to HL2, Fo3 and Oblivion of course...)
