Ehm do you guys speak Indian ?
Assuming this is just an innocent question rather than an insult, no we speak Bengali. Hindi is a sister language of our mother tongue though. Most of us can understand it and and many of us can more or less speak it when necessary.
Ouch sorry if I had insulted you but the script just looked like near to Indian so I just asked :S.
Read this En.wikipedia.org . We earned our language with the price of blood. So anyone suggesting we speak in someones else language is highly offensive to us.

Arabs also refused to speak other languages forced on them ,in my country we refused to speak Turkish during the Ottoman rule we also refused to speak French during the French mandate !
