Yes and no. Yes, because the heat signature is very pronounced and easy for a stinger missile to lock onto. The American TV shows about military technology don't mention that the Soviets used high-heat flares and infrared counter-measures so the effectiveness of the stinger is only about 10-15% if they are used consistently. Plus this beast can take 10 bullet holes in the fuselage, rotor, and blades, and still make it back to base, with live troops inside. It can take an RPG as well.
It can survive a grenade explosion inside and continue to perform his duty :D
Ha! Typical americans, they always say Russian equipment sux (they usually do when the americans meets them at the battlefield, but that is only because they fight against poor countries that bought their equipment ages ago, when it was already out-dated.)
How are the competition between Apache and hind? Or can't you compare them at all since the russians got the Havoc for that kind of stuff?
Yeah, they're incomparable. You can compare the Mi-28 Havoc to the Apache though.
not related to aircraft but did you notice: In MW2 AK47 is the highest Assault-rifle whilst M-16A2 is best in BC2.One favors russian other american equipment.
well, the ak-47 is the highest leveled but not the best gun in the game(and wtf did they do to it? It's sooo ugly!)
Yeah but the An-94 is still higher powered :P, AEK is just plain WWAAAAGHHH and the PKM is the second best LMG (M60 got nerfed, massive damage dropoff over range methinks)

my translator screwed on this :D did you mean why it is unarmed ? if yes than its because i dont know :D we are not in conflict so maybe rockets were somwhere in hangar waiting to someone :D and it was airshow so maybe they feared that some kids will **** something up :D:D
In the Russian army at Afganistan it was also known for its tendency to cut off his own back rotor with the main one :/ Dunno how about now, maybe they fixed it, but it was like that back then.
There are tons of info about Afgan War, I know hundreds of veterans among my relatives, friends, parents of my friends (common soldiers, pilots, marines, airborn...) they never told such a galimatias... Where do u always ladle such bullsh... "reliable" info?
