ARABIAN SEA (Aug. 20, 2012) An F/A-18F Super Hornet from the Jolly Rogers of VFA-103 launches from the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69).
haha, CVN-69.. Oh, and nice f-22 raptor. best plane in da globe.
It's actually a F/A-18F Super Hornet, the F-22 isn't carrier capable :)
(buried)
no dat is wrong. it is ezy to mistook but if you look closely at the tale fins you can see it is angeled. only stealth aircraft like da f-22 raper has those while f-14 super hornets have normal fins. anyway they can land on ships because of their trust-vectoring engines. can land anywhere anytime. no problem
Not even gonna try to argue with your odd logic, have a nice day.
F-22 is single seated, that plane above is twin seated...
Wow what did I just read? That was the weirdest thing I ever heard as a avionics nerd.
not sure if trolling, or just stupid, really really stupid
Haha, F-22 Raper... Hornet's have slanted tails too my friend. As for the thrust vectoring.... well Memesters.com
weird thing is that he made a semi intelligent comment on the F-35...
Bomb_Tank...sorry to say, but you have to be the biggest idiot I've met on Moddb yet.
The F-22 Raptor can not land anywhere, only on proper runways, and this is an F/A-18 - notice the square intakes.
Well you obviously have yet to met asif_ridwan...
so you think all planes with angled tail fins are f-22s? and you're mistaken with thrust vectoring. that doesn't allow raptors to land "anywhere anytime." that's used when raptors need to make sharp aerial maneuvers (correct me if i'm wrong). you're probably talking about the f35.
He's partially right about the TVC: It does allow for Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL).
Try wikipedia next time, the tail fins of the f-18 are defenitly angled. And the squad listed in the description is also listed in the list on this page:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_F/A-18E/F_Super_Hornet nice pictures to compare too.
The shape of the F-22 is also very different: En.wikipedia.org It's easy to see the difference.
You don't even need wikipedia to know that..
