Pity it had to end this way for the Ekranoplan. Such an interesting piece of technology.

Just hibernated for awhile.
That's nice news, this thing is too cool to retire.
well thats good.... when i first saw this pic i was like "why isn't this in a museum?" god knows its a great part of history
then again Russia is lucky to still have a complete Ekranoplan. The Canadian's only have the nose and cockpit to remind them of the Avro Arrow.
