I Did It
After 5 hours of continuous coding last night I wrote the entire ship fitting screen. It has some very minor issues, but in general it does the job well. As you know, the ability to fit your ships is an important part of the BoS goal.

Working Version
A picture is worth a thousand words and this video is about 1.5 minutes long at 30 fps, so this video must be worth quite a bit.

Cool huh? If you play EVE, please do not badmoth the devs about how they don't do any work. That new fitting screen they wrote must have been very complex.

Parts of the Screen
As you can see, there are 3 windows in the fitting screen. Window 1 comes up when you mouse over Edit fitting. This window allows you to view info on and select modules to be changed. When you mouse over a slot, info is displayed about that module. Finally, clicking on the slot brings up a menu that allows you to change that module.

Overfitting
If you overfit your ship, as in use more power than it produces, it will reduce the lifespan of your ship based on how overfit it is. It could be worth it to fit slightly heavier guns on a ship that would only last 5 minutes anyway, but it also prevents people from doing stupid things like fitting a capital ship gun on a frigate and actually getting use out of it.

Other Changes

  • Variable Dimmer, now you can actually use the + and - (well, =) key to change the brightness of the background, making text easier to read if needed.
  • Changes have been made to the module processing to remove the need to reread the file every time a module is changed or fitted.
  • Some random command line outputs were removed, an amazing 15 fps gained.

Now...
The fitting screen was a goal for the past 2 weeks. Now I am going to work on creating Unit level AI and test it on some random target drones I spawn. Once this is done, I will begin working on adding a wider variety of ships.
