Isn't it amazing what you can get out from the "old" X-Ray Engine. This looks much much better than CoD or BF 4.
Only Crysis and Metro are reference for now. FarCry 2 looks better than FarCry 3 imo.
I'm waiting for The Witcher 3 concerning of Graphical evolution.
If you ask me,nothing but really NOTHING can beat BF 4 graphics or CoD Ghosts.
Now they both have the best graphics I've ever seen.
So do Crysis 2 and 3.
Metro series are the best games I played if we're talking about storylines and characters.
Cod and BF are best action games for me.
But STALKER is my favorite one observing everything(storyline,characters,atmosphere etc.).Graphics are good but they could have worked on that a little bit more.
Besides STALKER and Metro,FarCry 3 is my favorite.It wakes up your feelings,open your heart and more.
P.S:I know I sound (or look)like a retard here,but seriously,this is my opinion about those games.

Ghosts in it's own is NOTHING compared to BF4. But, BF4 in it's own, is NOTHING compared to Crysis 3 or Metro: Last Light (Amazing game, really. Jaw dropping). So, this would rank Ghosts at the bottom. Like this
Either:
Crysis 3 > Metro: Last Light > Battlefield 4 > Crysis 2 > Far Cry 3 > Ghosts
Or;
Metro: Last Light > Crysis 3 > Battlefield 4 > Crysis 2 > Far Cry 3 > Ghosts
The tech behind both Metro and C3 are ... jawdropping. BF4 is also really nice, but it suffers from severe graphical glitches, it doesn't have core DX11 features and it in general looks like a washed out product on the highest settings because of the severe use of post-processing effects (flares, blur, tonemapping etc.), while Crysis and Metro look pretty even without all that.
Get my point? (and ghosts is just a revamp of the old CoD4 engine which has been used since 2007. It doesn't even correctly show light)
I get your point but I'm just showing my opinion.
I like both BF and CoD and nothing could change that.
Metro Last Light,as you said,really is jaw dropping game.
And no,I don't need EXTREME graphics to like a game.
I need story,atmosphere and gameplay.
