I would wrap this up as a German version since as far as I am aware they are the only country where this would be illegal. It's legal in the UK so the flag is a bit much.

As far as I know, it is illegal in Germany, Austria, Hungary, Poland, France and Czech Republic. That is why we called this version "European". Sorry for inaccuracy with the UK, the main purpose of the flag is language indication (and there is another inaccuracy... the language is American English, not British).

I am from Poland and I can assure you that it is legal to have a game with swastikas and other Nazi symbols - as long as it does not "promote or endorse Nazism". I suppose killing Nazis is not much of an endorsement...

Ironically, the picture for the "European" version has two swastikas visible in the background. False advertising! :P

Another case in point, there is a game called Saboteur which features Nazi symbols prominently and it was not banned or censored in most European countries.

Anyways, great job with the remake!

Thanks!
Well, we cannot be completely sure that, for example, "Die Fahne hoch" song in the intro won't be treated as "promotion". What if somebody listens to it, likes it... and, disaster! becomes a semi-nazi! Just kidding. I really don't understand why such stuff is forbidden, but we must respect the law anyway.
The picture is common for all downloads and is not a part of any :) If your laws don't forbid Nazi symbols in games - simply download the US version.

Instead of a European Version, you should call it a Censored Version, as that is pretty much what it is.
