Universe Edge is a spaceship-building, crew-management, space-exploration game.
It is currently in early development stage.
Select from a various shaped blocks and combine them to form the layout of your ship.
You will be able to Paint and Texuturize them to your style.
Fit your ship with a selection of equipments, every equipments has a function that can be
connected together to perform various task.
Your crew is the heart of your ship, they will perform all the physical task that you order them, such
as placing, painting, and texturing blocks.
They will operate your equipments in order to begin functioning. A crew needs to operate a cockpit
in order for the ship to move, A crew needs to operate a Miner equipment controller to be able to mine asteroids.
You will need to provide your crew food, and the comfort of furnitures and equipments. Make them happy and your ship will run on its maximum efficiency.
Explore the Procedural-generated and Persistent Star systems of the Universe, you will be able to mine asteroids, land on Planets to gather its resources.
The Universe is populated with AI races and factions, they are dynamic and alive, they have goals and needs just like you.
Your action towards them will define your standing relationship, and all the actions will greatly affect the events in the Universe.
Almost every object in the Universe are craftable, the game has a production-chain system that starts from the raw materials that can be processed to make a greater material or equipments.
Today, I'd like to pass some gases information that we'll have in the game!
We have been discussing gases in the forum, and we have just finalized the first few ones: Oxygen, Hydrogen, Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen, and Methane!
If you have tried the demo, the gas flow mechanic will be pretty much the same as the gravity.
Here are the new equipment!
Eleksis - uses Water and Power to make Oxygen and Hydrogen!
Sabatier - uses Power, CO2, and Hydrogen to make Water and Methane!
Humicon - (Humidity Controller) - Absorbs selected gases and water vapor.
With Humicon, you can selectively absorb the gasses depending on where the equipment is located. You'll mainly use this to absorb CO2 emitted by the crew, or other gases when leakage occurred!
Gas Vent - Allows you to selectively release gas type from the tank.
Right now, we still don't have final use for Methane, but we'll probably use it as a power supply in the future for Fuel Cells, as well as Hydrogen.
Also, we're still figuring out the best way to obtain Nitrogen. We might just settle for Asteroid Mining to obtain them.
You'll have to mix Oxygen and Nitrogen in your spaceship to avoid Oxygen toxicity. With the new gas system, we'll finally be able to introduce the first few ways for our crew to die.
Plants will also be able to process oxygen and CO2 in the future.
It was really fun working on this section of the game, because I am not really knowledgeable at science, but by tackling this feature, I was able to learn a few.

The next few days will probably focused on getting some ideas for crafting the equipment and the ingredient/recipe to make them.
So components like LCDs, Compressor, Furnace, Condenser are one of the few craftable components to build equipment.
