Yes, and unfortunately it is not even starting up for me. HAELP!
If you have removed all your previous TPC files (meaning, if you have uninstalling it properly – as Patrick and the articles suggest – meaning: delete also your Mydocuments/TheProtectors folder alongside with all old version files, stored somewhere in your PC), then, if you have installed 0.8.5 (opening the exe, and solve if necessary, the known compatibility issue) it should work. You have played old versions, so the monitor compatibility thing is not an issue for you. What is happening to you right now, happened to me in 0.7+ versions and for me, it was all about wrong installations and uninstalls – consider it that for you as well: Perhaps you still have old files all over your machine? Can’t help you further I am afraid.
