The Eight Seas is a Pirate themed platformer being developed for Windows (and possibly Android).
Not been working on it today as much as I did yesterday, but I got what I think is a substantial amount done.
Not been working on it today as much as I did yesterday, but I got what I think is a substantial amount done. Most of the work done today was refining and bug fixing. But it's still very important and the game plays much better now.
If you find any bugs within this build please email me with the details at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks, and have fun!
Anyway what's new eh?
# = Change
+ = new feature
- = removed feature# Improved the performance on the physics components.
# Redid the method of ceiling and floor slope collision. Solved those bugs I referred to last update.
# Refined some back end code for the player physics component by removing repeated code from the movement physics component and making the player physics a proper extension of the moment physics component.
# Moved the box opening code out of the player physics component into a component of its own ( I know I know, bad me for putting it there in the first place ).
# Changed some enemies in the showcase level to rapier pirates.
+ Collision with tiles while on moving platform. Blocks can push you off moving platforms and even kill you if you get sandwiched underneath.
