The Eight Seas is a Pirate themed platformer being developed for Windows (and possibly Android).
Fixed some more bugs. I think. Sort of a re-revamped of the slope detection and reaction physics.
If you haven't already, please download the file uploaded prior to this and replace the exe in the release folder with this one.
In a nutshell, this EXE SHOULD have:
# Fixed slope collision once and for all *cheer*. I am now using an angle of approach method to detect slope collisions. Much more accurate, mathematically speaking.
+ Added proper bouncing to the bomb so it bounces as expected on a slope... not perfect yet, but getting there.
- Removed fixed physics time step to fix the weird physics stepping issue by stripping out the stepping and frame capping it (old school style).
- Removed that line of code I accidentally left in for debug purposes last time.
