This is the result of our most recent 48 Hour Challenge, and a demo taste of what's to come from this concept.
In this game you play as the planet Tempest-13C, fighting against the colonising human fleet. Wield the wind and destroy all that tries to land.
Probe: Small and fragile, these drones are the first wave of attack. Should one land and maintain a signal from the surface it will begin to call down Dropships.
Dropship: Dropships will descend upon getting the call from a landed probe, they have a lot more health but are just as unwieldy and deal more damage to things they collide with. Upon landing, the dropship will begin construction of a building.
City: Cities spread from a single building and will continue to do so until you destroy the last one in its cluster.
Earn score multipliers by being more creative with how you destroy your enemy!
A + D = Pan left and right across the landscape to make sure you've caught all approaching drone ships.
Left Mouse= Hold down left mouse and gesture to create wind currents and bring the invading fleet down!
This demo is a physics and systems toybox, there is no win or lose condition.
Tomorrow we'll be leaving our snug little office in Canberra for nearly a day of flying until we're at Seattle. Though we also displayed the latest build of CHARGE! at PAX Aus, later this week at PAX Seattle will be the first time that nearly the entire team will be out to meet you guys in person and show off our latest project- CHARGED, the spiritual successor to our 48 hour game CHARGE from earlier this year :).
