Teleglitch is a roguelike top-down shooter with pixel graphics. The game takes place in procedurally generated military research & training complex that has a different map every time you play. Our mission is to give players like you a chance to walk in the dark corridors, gripping their gun and few last rounds of ammunition. To play with finger on the trigger, high on adrenaline. We want to give you the, paranoid, sweaty, and bloody hard kind of fun.

I understand that most (if not all) of the sounds are borrowed from freesound.org. This is not really a big problem - and the gun/enemy sounds are fine to me. However, when you get hit it sounds like some comic sound effect - very out of place with the gritty atmosphere of the game. As a suggestion, the sound of getting hit should sound fleshier, like your muscle is being torn into with a very faint clothes rip sound to simulate taking a heavy scratch. Or for a regular punch or wham, record yourself hitting a punching bag with some relatively thick cloth on it.
Just my suggestion for making it sound more damaging when you're hit.
