I just tested out the sound for the CAR-based weapon systems and for a pistol. Great effort but it doesn´t sound very real. You used files that were recorded from distance of the weapon systems. It might sound like this for bystanders but doesn´t sound like this for the weapon operator.

I am sorry about that. I have actually never shot a real gun or been close to one being shot besides a small revolver one time so I am no gun expert at all. I also wanted to give the guns a bit of a ''personality'' by tweaking some small things so they wouldn't sound all to much like each other.

Almost all sound files used were recorded outside, I think it feels more powerful sounds better and is easier to work with but some sounds have been recorded from different distances sadly.

I might have tweaked and used some recordings that might have been a bit to much movie/game like, In my opinion the AK was my favorite out of the assault rifles and feels the most ''real'' but I am not sure if I am right or wrong since I cant use all that much real life experience.

I am sorry that it didn't sound as good as you were hoping and I think I know what you mean and if I do then I agree with you. sadly I am a bit tired of games in general and I have been to busy to get into it so I am not sure of when or if I will update this mod.

Might try to convert other game sounds some time in the future but in my mind most mods that take weapon sounds from other games don't sound as good as they do in the original game sadly. Might be that the original game processes echo and distance in a different way I don't know.

But yes Tarkov has some really nice audio design!

How to dealt with *sound files extracted from *uax archives?
It's different from *wav files from Postal 2...

I'm sorry but I don't really understand what you mean, Do you mean how to edit the sound files after they have been extracted?

I used audacity to modify the sound files that I extracted. I had a look at the sound files after they were extracted from the game and they were ''.wav'' files.

If you might be thinking of inserting my mod sound files into Postal2 then I'm sorry but I don't know how to do it. I have noticed that some games are very picky with file size, audio length, and other things.
