Has Photorealistic Zone 2 instead of the original. Much better texture quality. But BE WARNED, performance is all over the place on my setup (1152p, max detail, GTX 680, i7 2600 @ 4.2 GHz, 8GB RAM). I think this just pushes x-ray to the limit, and the dual core limitation probably hurts a lot too. But if you're feeling brave...

NOTE: USING THE COMMAND r2_sun_near_border 1 IS USUALLY NECESSARY FOR THIS MOD.

NOTE 2: I recommend using motion blur. To do so, modify your shortcut that launches SoC (right click, Properties). Add -mblur to the target. In-game, motion blur can be tweaked with the r2_mblur command (e.g., r2_mblur 1 uses the most motion blur possible).

NOTE 3: From edwin11373: "Actually, I found a way to make better. In the ini file, the Sun_near was set to 12. I changed it to 30. The lower the number, the higher the quality of the shadows are BUT the far shadows are blocky until you get near them. So, by making the near shadows less in quality you can lower the drastic transition between high/low qualities of shadows. I don't mind having a bit low-res near shadow just as long there's no awful transition."

NOTE 4: The Stalker Shaders MAX settings application is not fully functional. Don't use it.

OPTIONAL SUNSHAFTS REPLACER. This makes it so dynamic outdoor shadows can only be viewed from certain angles, like sunshafts. This shader implementation comes from OGSE.

As with any mod, you should save often. I tend to make a separate save for each level, and overwrite it every time I enter that level.

I know, but PRZ2 is a massive improvement indeed. Many textures in k10 were left untouched, including bump maps. And wrong mipmaps which led to too sharp textures etc. But no more in PRZ2 :)

Nope, they change mostly the same things. There's no need for Complete 2009 (2012) either, since Mod Pack 2013 does everything better.

But what with for example: better A.I., features (for example: Sleeping Bag, ZRP Teleport), bugs fixes, freeplay, "full advantage of Shader Model 3.0 and introduces advanced shader technology first seen in the game “Crysis”" from STALKER Complete 2009 (2012)?

Better AI is included in this (and Complete doesn't have better AI, it makes them less aware which makes the game easier), sleeping bag is included in this, teleport = cheating so nope, shaders in this are much more advanced than Complete. Don't believe everything you read. :)

The game is quite smooth for my ageing rig (pentium quad 6600, 4GB DDR2 memory, radeon HD 4890).
Until now (days playing), I haven't had any CTD, except one about a missing weapon sig552_sk2 (I read it may have been a missing config or texture, or a corrupted save; created a sig552_ltx weapon config file being the copy of sig552_sk1 and reloaded from a previous save, and it worked).
There is one bug when you get up from sleeping or from coma vision in labs, the screen spins a lot and finally gets back to normal.
Overall I would say it is good mod pack, in between oblivion lost 2010 and stalkersoup. Being a mix of the two, it misses its own touch.

Just a quick question, how do you enable the log in game again? I've found a crash every time I try to equip the M1014 Benelli shotgun and during the raid on the Freedom base I keep getting crashes as well that I think is once again related to the Benelli. I got to the building with Lukash and saw a one of the Freedom guys point what looked like an M1014 at me and the game immediately crashed. So finding the log file would be good so I could id what the bug with that particular shotgun is, lol.

Also seems to have the long running bug of barkeep freezing in place after emissions. You have to kill the guard and quickly run over to tell barkeep to take care of your problems with the other stalkers to reach barkeep. Not sure that's fixable... just a heads up, lol.

Aside from that REALLY great mod, incredibly stable so far aside from the issue with the M1014! I keep going through areas that used to be plagued with crashes and am always so delighted when it doesn't! Also seems to have fixed Kruglov deciding to try to become a one man army like I've seen in other mods at the first sign of trouble and actually doing what he's supposed to!

it's in Documents\stalker-shoc\logs or something similar. The M1014 is messed up, it's supposed to be removed as a matter of fact. I suppose I failed to remove it! But thanks for your fix, I'll just implement that and see how it works.

yeah, I finally found it, I was just having a derpy moment when I first posted and thought it was way more complicated than it actually was... haha. Yeah once you put those changes into the xm1014's file it works perfectly in the game. Can equip and kill away with it (though I still prefer the Saiga... haha).

Okay, I've solved the bug in the my comment below. To others who encounter it:

1. go to gamedata/config/weapons
2. find the w_xm1014 file
3. open it with notepad
4. find "smoke_particles"
5. replace "weapons\_ecp\weapon_shotgun" with "weapons\generic_shoot_00"

After that to fix the error of the M1014 crashing when equipped, in the same w_xm1014 file, find "slot" and change the 1 to a 2. Works perfectly now! Hope this helps someone else when they get to that point!

Well first Hi there, im actually downloading it right now - my question is - cause i played the 2009 version and the ai sight range was soooo overpowered, even in deep night, well i figured it out and changed the ilumination factor in LTX files, so did U change it in this version? it would be nice to sneak in the night, it makes a really decent immersion factor. Well all i think of right now is the Enemy Ai - it should be hard, but also like realistic. Thx for the reply.

There's no 2009 version of this mod, you're either referring to Oblivion Lost 2009 or most likely Complete 2009 which nerfed AI. That's not a problem here though.

Much thanks for this modpack dude. I tried OL2010 few weeks ago but eh I don't think it felt any different from a few years ago on my last SHoC run. Definitely will try test this

I was about to mention that the one thing I dread of modpacks is the enormous filesizes, but your Google Docs download is working at the moment. Usually I dont mind vanilla textures, as long as the mod improves and changes aspects of the game.

Could you clarify something for me? Are the textures simply the same name as the originals in the DB files only to be the override since their in a gamedata folder, or does one have to include its filename in a list-file somewhere? Just curious on how the system works.

Most textures have the same name has the vanilla ones, but Arsenal mod has a bunch of new textures for the new guns, and they're listed in textures.ltx

Uploading patch 1: includes M1014 fix by kleinnak, new soft water from OGSE, and two optional files:

- XR_3DA.exe with large address aware (3GB enabled)
- Vastly improved grass draw distance added by the new xrRender_r2.dll file

You get that with or without the patch? It's a stupid error caused by some shaders not working properly for some people. If you're getting this with the patch, you can just delete the shader files (gamedata\shaders\r2) with water in the name.

I get this with the patch, I deleted the shader folder and that works.
I have trouble using the modified XR_3DA exe. If I use it the game will not start, I can use the modified render but without the extra ram I get choppy framerate in spots.

You can try patching XR_3DA.exe yourself then, go to SoC Complete page and look under downloads. I think I know the problem... the exe I included is for Steam version.

I reloaded my backup save and files. I just received the documents from X16. My pda still says to enter X16. I ignored it, traveled to the bar where the barman is unresponsive. Do I need to meet the Guide first?

So I managed to kill the guard in the exoskeleton and talk with barkeep and give him the X16 documents. So he is responsive, he just doesn't walk around, so I cannot speak to him unless I can get behind the bar. As long as I can get to the back of the bar, I should be able to finish his tasks.

Sorry to hear that. There are ways to get behind Garik without killing him. I had this bug in OL2010 which is the base mod, so it can indeed happen here.

I didn't make a wish, I denied the C consciousness and went for the "peaceful" ending. After I teleported through the last portal, I was on the ground and immediately attacked by a Controller. I killed him and now I am lost running around NPP. Is there a way out?

Umm, I just started playing the mod with a new game and the military ended up killing all of the NPCs in the starting camp so I can't do the quests for Wolf.. is this normal for the mod..? They were all dead within 10 minutes of me starting a new game..

LOL I had to restart and help defend the camp until the entire military base had finished attacking it.. Before that, I helped with one wave and went back to sell some stuff only to arrive back at the camp with the military overrun. I love the atmosphere, I just wanted to make sure it had to do with the mod and not some crazy thing I did haha.
