Call of Pripyat takes you once again into the vicinity of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor that exploded in 1986. This so-called "Zone" is a highly contaminated area cordoned off by the military and now is combed through by the so-called stalkers, modern fortune hunters, in search of unique artifacts. In the role of Agent Alexander Degtyarev, who is dressed up as stalker, you have to investigate the mysterious disappearance of five military helicopters and thereby stand one’s ground against the various stalker groups.

Basic Starting a mod.

First, download the Call of Pripyat database unpacker. Once downloaded, unpack the unpacked directory and paste it in the Resources folder. Okay, now you can start editing the files.

Let's start with the initial editing equipment modification. Go to the Unpacked \ configs \ gameplay. Open the file in any text editor character_desc_general. The supplies made after the names of the stuff away. Paste these lines into it, but so that the supplies made after deleting everything.

Code wrote:[spawn] \ n
device_torch \ n
wpn_binoc \ n
wpn_knife \ n
detector_advanced \ n
helm_tactical \ n
exo_outfit \ n

grenade_f1 = 15 \ n

wpn_fort \ n
ammo_9x18_fmj = 15 \ n

wpn_svd \ n
ammo_7.62x54_7h1 = 10 \ n

bandage = 25 \ n
antirad = 15 \ n
medkit = 45 \ n

bread = 15 \ n
kolbasa = 15 \ n
conserva = 25 \ n

Okay, after this is done, change the starting money:

Character_desc_general also in the 41th row, we find the following line:

min="2500" max="2500" infinitive="0"/>

Change the line to the following:

min="100000" max="100000" infinitive="0"/>

So. Now, start editing the stuff is done. You're not too hard this all about? You can also change the following, after tested that it works. Oh, and it would replace any of the characters in-game stuff, just need to know their names.

What do we do next? Change the values to be a weapon.

Go to the configs \ weapons folder. Open the w_ak74u with any text editor.

List of clever changes:
Sprint off "sprint_allowed" line
Fund cheaper than the shops. "cost" line
Has become easier, "inv_weight" line
Greater damage, "hit_power" line
Higher trajectory, "fire_distance" line
Bullet quicker, "bullet_speed" line
Rate of fire: 'rpm' line
Plus size magazine: "ammo_mag_size" line
Sniper gun and ammunition can shoot, "ammo_class" line
Crosshair size is reduced, "crosshair_intertion" line

That's all. Test, or even modify it, whatever you want.

How to test:

Put all the files you modified on the desktop. If the initial equipment Amended:

So do some of the folders: GameData -> configs -> gameplay.
And put the character_desc_genral in the gameplay folder.
Then put it in the GameData folder into the Stalker - Cop folder and start the game.

Thank you for reading.

Great tutorial, but I would like a link which shows where to download the Call Of Pripyat DB unpacker. I don't want to go hunting around on fileplanet, filefont, megaupload, any of those places etc just to go find a simple utility.
