Call of Pripyat takes you once again into the vicinity of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor that exploded in 1986. This so-called "Zone" is a highly contaminated area cordoned off by the military and now is combed through by the so-called stalkers, modern fortune hunters, in search of unique artifacts. In the role of Agent Alexander Degtyarev, who is dressed up as stalker, you have to investigate the mysterious disappearance of five military helicopters and thereby stand one’s ground against the various stalker groups.
Whit this mod you have 1500kg for the inventory (sorry for my english), and it's for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat - Version 1.6.02.

Oh come on now! Where's the point of being able to carry anything, anywhere, anytime?
Does the word "challenge" mean anything to some of you?
Do you even understand the word MODDING. Apparently not...
(buried)
Oh right, if "modding" means for you "modifying the game to a point there's no fun left", or, even, if "modding" means for you "cheating", well, in that case, yeah, I don't understand the word "Modding".
Free to anyone to play with this file, but that's not a mod. I, too, am able to modify one parameter in the game's code. 'til, I'm not calling myself "modder".
I'm not a modder, this is certainly; this file is only a small change for people who want to have a backpack more "capacious" in STALKER Call of
Pripyat.
then, when does it call a mod?
Even a small change to the better/worse makes a mod. (modification)

Modding. Modificating. Means the act of manipulating the existing game data and/or implementing new in order to achive new experience. If said mod does not 'worsen' the gameplay more than 70%, it is considered successfull.
I personally did not want to find out what I was supposed to edit. Or go beyond a google search.
THUS!
This mod is perfect for me, fits my needs and definetly makes my life as a living trade post much, much more easier. In the end, this is only my opinion.

This whole thing has to do with your self perception of what modding and fun is, fun isn't intristically related to challenge the same way that modding isn't going to adhere to your own definition of what consitutes a mod or not, you facking duche.
if you are not interested then why don't you just skip this mod? and i am way too lazy to walk every way a hundred times without running just because of "realism". where is the fun there?
There is no fun in having to go back and forth just to pick up stuff to sell to a trader. Besides, being able to carry so much stuff would be fun. Screw realism, video games are meant for FUN!!
Personally i increase weight capacity to 100, this way i still got to limit what i can carry but i dont have to run across the entire map each time i find a weapon i want to stash for later.
Wonderful, now I can carry around my car instead of having to park it.
haha what mod did you download to be able to drive cars?
theres no mod for that.sadly.then I would run over enemies and take the loot from their bodies to my car's trunck.
oops there is a mod for that.just no trunks.
Where is there a mod for a car?
i know the realism of the game is one of the most important parts, but run the same way a lot of times just to get there the heaviest stuff is annoying... i like this mod!
this is so useful,I am thankful for this.
i want a car :(

This is a GREAT MOD, and THANK YOU for the modder. It indeed makes the gameplay more enjoyable.
Obviously different people have different tastes, "realism" is a need or is not, and even if it is, might mean different things to people.
I play SCI-FI games specifically because these are surreal, and that is the whole point of, immerse in an environment for a few hours, that has nothing to do with reality. So being able to carry inhuman amounts of stuff in a virtual environment is pretty much acceptable. It's like reading a novel, while you do that, don't say to yourself "this is not possible, that is not possible", just enjoy it... And in this case, if one doesn't have to run back and forth, makes it more enjoyable for sure.
If this strictly speaking is a mod or not, i can't judge that. Not a texture or engine mod for sure, but i'm glad it's there.
So dear modder, again, thanks. And for fellow gamers, happy gaming.
Thank you very much,
I'm the creator of this mod... This was my old profile here on ModDB. I agree with you and many other who commented: games are made for fun. Of course people have different tastes, but shouldn't talk about realism, because, if carrying 1500kg is odd and unrealistic, what about many and many other things? For example, why I can't go to certain places, or climb a tree and leave a stash there? (There are a lot of trees like that in the game).
I played this trilogy so much, and it's so boring to have to go here and there to retrieve objects.
However, Chernobylite seems interesting, never played it. I'll go to take a look ;)
PS. i did play the whole series a few times over, in the past. Actually , SoC was the very first DX11 game i've played, bought completely new hardware just to be able to. And my God, my E4300 overclocked to 2.4 GHz, how fast it was ! That in 2007. Such a good year in the world of IT.
Btw, just finished Chernobylite a couple of days ago... Somehow Chernobyl has a darkly attractive nature, and so hell, until April next year ( STALKER 2) , let's play CoP one more time :)
For fellow gamers, i can very much recommand to play Chernobylite, if didn't do so yet, worth it.
