Legions of infantry, tanks, artillery guns and more await your command. Take up arms under the Stars & Stripes, Iron Cross, Hammer & Sickle, or Union Jack, then command your troops to brutal victory. Hundreds of units, custom maps, deep and fast-paced real-time-strategy play. The scale? Epic. The gameplay? Intense. The cost? Zero - Spring: 1944 is not a "mod" of a commercial effort, but a from-scratch game developed using the open source Spring Engine. In terms of other modern RTS - Spring: 1944 is the golden mean between Supreme Commander and Company of Heroes.

Its an RTS not every dude is gonna be different looking besides on a RTS are you really going to look at there face or up top examining the battle field its not total war you know. However I understand what you mean but is it really logical?

The way i Would see it is that you need to have like difference divisions like when you're doing for example ( not knowing much about the game or using real facts ) but if you're deffending lets say ortona or St.lo there is more then just 1 divison so the para would have dif stats and uniforms and so on

it would add more authenticity to the game but this is indie so dod what ya can

I think the fact that having authentic divisions and battalions is cool, the N44 mod has this and it works out so fantastic. Every battle is different

No, but take 500 army men and sit 500 bazookas at your feet. Then mix it up with all of your binocular guys, snipers, bayonets, and so on. It's more aesthetically pleasing for just a few simple texture changes.

Not to mention that these Germans seem to be missing some vital gear.

Anyway - ever played Company of Heroes?
