Some computers that are some years old, laptops in particular, does not have an XNA HiDef Profile compatible graphics card, which was a requirement to be able to run Smooth Operators: Call Center Chaos.
Going up to version 1.1, this update rids the requirement of having an XNA HiDef Profile compatible graphics card, and also implements error handling during initialization.

At first I thought it didnt look like much, but right when you start it up it sets the atmosphere right.
It's obvious that the devs put a lot of ♥ into this game, theres a ton of little details and for the price it's really delivering all of its promises.
Even if its just for the sake of getting more of this, seeing the revival of classics like SimTower, I'd say buy it.

It looks so douchey when ppl are talking with handsfree on their phone, and still they're holding the phone looking at the display...

@SuperSmithBros I think you'd have to completely rewrite the game in Unity. But shit, Drawtopia looks awesome!!

Thank you for your Desura keys donation for my giveaway on the GOG forum .
Hi, I bought this yesterday and it is a really good game however no matter how hard I try or how many incoming call operators I hire I have never filled my quota of incoming calls :(
Is this the final release version and/or is it still being worked on? More things to be added, can never have too much of a good thing :)
Hey. I do have more stuff that i want to add in an update to the game. Its currenly not being actively worked on because im working on getiing Smooth released on iOS an Android, as well as planning a sequel in what will be a "Smooth Series".
Oh well if you're planning a sequel then I will not press for more updates. I understand it is still in the very early planning stages but when you say series do you have any idea what the other workplaces may be? Make them just as addictive as this one whilst making each of them bigger and better than the last and you shall have an avid buyer following you :)
The sequel will have more or less the same look and feel to it, but you won't be putting in workplaces... more like... cells... maybe... =)
I just had this happen and, especially when going for the full 5 days (as was the case with me) this really is a sucky event. A lot of the game is waiting for money, and to just suddenly completely gut your income for an extended period of time...
Hey. The chances are 50/50 of getting more or less calls on a client campaign event. I might tweak it though.
Fast reply! Thanks. I am loving it. While not fully scratching the SimTower itch, it is a lot of fun. I'm also all for random events that can seriously get you at times. This seemed like overly punishing to me tho. Specifically the full 5 days. Possibly its less bad when you have loads of reserves in the late game, but I was slowly upgrading everything and haven't even passed hight 4
The maximum is 5 days, and from what i understand, you had really low volumes during that period. You seem to be out ouf luck. =)
Everything is random, even if you get a campaign with lower volumes instead of higher, the decrease can span from 5% to 90%.
Ah, yes. It really seems like a case of bad luck then. I think I had at least 70% decrease for 5 days. But, if its that random I'll take back my whining :D
As I said, I'm enjoying it a lot besides!
