Conquer, rule and manipulate the Roman Empire with the ultimate goal of being declared as the "Imperator" of Rome. Set in a time when the mighty Roman Empire emerged to conquer the known world against powerful enemies, when gladiators fought to a bloody death in the Coliseum; when Spartacus defied the might of the empire; when Hannibal led his invincible army and his war elephants across the Alps to strike fear into the very heart of Rome itself; and when Julius Caesar finally smashed the Barbarian Gauls. This was a time of brutal confrontation between civilisation and barbarism, and of civil war as the ancient world's only superpower turned on itself.
A Mod project for Rome Total War II. Goals I want to reach is to balance out the Spartans and make them the best looking infantry of the whole game, like it's supposed to be. I like variations in faces, crests and maybe some tunic colours, but not as much for helmets and armours. So this Mod got not much variation between each Unit in one troop. Because I like the organised looking Spartan hoplites! Anbd my Spartan Units are realy beast! just check them out. So in the future maybe the Spartan Units stats will be edited too. But I need help on this, would be nice to make this a great project with as much people that like to help and got a little experience in editing stats or even add more Units to spartan roster! Help much apreciated. I will try to get better on changing colours and so on, all about the reskining, so I need Modders that can edit Unit Stats and add new Units! Just PM me and we will see further. Now enjoy Ancient Sparta Mod (Until now only Reskin Pack)
Hi @ all,
Introducing: Ancient Sparta Mod (Spartan Army reskinned)
Actual Version: v.1.0
I'm new to modding but as I saw the ugly Spartans, I had to start to reskin them ;)
People that like much variation on Units in one troop don't have to read further, because I
made the most Units looking the same except helmet colours. It's cause I
like an organised Army ;) Hope some of you love it too?!
I took some files from playker and Prof! I don't know what I have used
from them, but I used their Mods so I will credit them for their
help(got their permissions)! Also credits to Mitch! Check out their Mods too!
I don't made this Mod for hystorical accuracy. It's just to have great looking Sprtans, so don't slap me please :P I have redone all Infantry Units, standard bearers are too included from Prof, but reskined by me too. (But somehow every greek faction got them now? Prof maybe you can help ;)
Generals and ranged Units are too reskined. The Generals on the Campaign Map too got
reskined! Mod fully works in Custom Battles and on Campaigns. Tested it and all Units looked as supossed.
So let's start! Look at my fully Spartans Unit reskins! :
Download this Mod Manager:
(You have to wait some seceonds till the site gets up... I know its anoying.
When there stys internal server error, just reload it till it loads)
it, then copy or cut the "Rome2ModManager" folder into "C:\Program
Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Total War Rome II\data". There you
will see the other ".pack" files and a "campaigns","encyclopedia","text"
and "UI" folder too. Paste the "Modmanager" folder and the
"ancient_sparta_mod_v1.0.pack" in there and go into the Modmanager
folder, then create a shortcut from the "Rome2ModManager.exe" and drag
the shortcut onto your Desktop!
In the end you can start the "Rome2ModManager" shortcut and klick on "ancient_sparta_mod_v1.0.pack" to enable it then klick launch.
Congrats you launched my Mod! Njoy it like I do :)
Just be sure to not use any other Reskin Mod that affects the Spartan faction!
This Mod IS COMPATIBLE with Mods like Radious Mod and with the newest version of the Game and all dlc's.
Credits for this Mod goes to these guys:
If someone's gonna make new Units for the Spartans, please contact me! I
would like to skin them all ;) also people that try to balance out the
Spartans, just PM me and we will make a even more Ancient Sparta Mod for
the whole community!
