It's a little different. You need to put the eagles.bat file and the folder where your WolfSP.exe is located. Outside the game's "Main" folder.

Your game folder should look like this after extracting:
Docs
eagles (this contains the eagles.pk3 file)
Main
Uninstall
...
eagles.bat
...
WolfSP.exe
WolfMP.exe

The map should load after running eagles.bat.

If this does not work just copy eagles.pk3 to the game's "Main" folder and start the game normally. You will only miss the briefing and notebook texts all other stuff should work normally.
In the console put: spmap eagles

You can skip the readme files, they are not needed in the game folder.
Maybe the game couldn't make a new config file? Is your game installed on the C or system drive? for ex: C:\Program Files? Otherwise it should work or worst case with running the bat file as admin.

ok. i reinstalled the whole game of the platnium edition.

i loaded all the addons for rtcw. i loaded eagles folder in root directory.

i put the eagles bat file in where it requries the main one.

its interesting. it loads the config file.
but, it just doesnt want to load.

Tried copying to the C drive even with less file permissions the level loaded with the bat file, I have the files like this:
Imgur.com

If nothing helps, try making a shortcut from WolfSP.exe, then add these parameters:
+set fs_game eagles +set nextmap "spmap eagles"

I have version 1.32 (May 1 2002), but it shouldn't matter. Also I don't have any other addons/mods installed.

Also, i look up the original game of into the eagles nest which is a dos game you describe.

i see it has four castles?

im assuming those castles are on floors as well?

how long was the original game?

Maybe 2 castles, at least I got a different castle after messing with the game files. I haven't played this game through properly yet.

The original is long, because you need to rescue 3 prisoners, then blow up the castle. The problem is that you need to replay the same castle in 4 missions. Also you can softlock yourself if you enter the basement without any keys.

thats cool you can do that.

that sounds confusing, lol

seems there's no need for 4 castles, lol

so i guess the original game is 3 hrs to 6 hr slong?

It should be max 1 or 2 hour, because there is no saving in the original.
