To install, copy the 'media' folder from the .zip file into your Half-Life/valve folder, (You can usually find it at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life\valve) and overwrite the original files.
If you want to restore the original music, you can take a backup of your media folder first, and simpy overwrite the modified tracks, or on Steam, use the 'Verify Game files' tool from the game's properties to redownload the original tracks.
A series of demos is also included, which demonstrate areas of interest with the soundtrack, simply copy the 'demo' folder's contents into the contents of your Half-Life/valve folder, and type 'playdemo p2demo_#' from the console ingame. 16 demos are included (although #13 does not exist) including most chapters of the game, they get the gist across if you don't want to play through the whole game just to get a sense of how the new soundtrack affects the atmosphere (There is no demo of the ending though I think that it's quite good. So you'll have to play that part for yourself!)
Have fun playing Half-Life with the Portal 2 Soundtrack! -Skamlox
