Hey, I just created an article on The Cutting Room Floor dot net about Platoon here: Tcrf.net(Windows) I originally couldn't find such an article on tcrf, so I took it upon myself to create it, as well as its subpages. So far, I'm the only one working on it.

Your very welcome! And hey, last month marked the exact 20 year anniversary of the release of Platoon! If only we could get our hands on the map editor, we'd be in business! Better yet, I will happily add the Map Editor to the TCRF article!
Hello there! First of all thank you very much for your reply in advance. Secondly, I only heard about the map editor while I was reading the comments on the old Montecristo game forum with wayback machine. There was a guy from America (nick name: D3S3RT) who had the map editor for the game. I checked the links he sent as a commend around 2002-2003 but the links are broken since then :'( sry for bad English.
You can also improve the graphics using the program!

Can you upload the map editor as well ??
has anybody else have the problem that when they want to start the game they get the message "access denied please login with admin privileges"? and if you do does anybody know a fix for this as im logged in as a admin and i try to open the game with admin rights but it still doesnt open the game for me

Today I have sent plenty of messages to different people who were worked on the game. Fortunately, 1-2 of them answered my question and also said that I must write a message to other guy who were also worked on the game.
I.
I told them I only interested in the game map editor ( which is not included to the game, there's an stand-alone map editor that I need to find...
on the old Montecristo forum there was a guy named "D3S3RT or something like that, he's living or lived in Poland, and he uploaded the game map editor to the original platoon official website plat00n.cjb.net [which is no longer available] in 2000 something)
I also found him on the old Epig games forum, but I was unable to send him a message due to webserver error... at least I have the latest 1.14 patch and we have the DxWnd (that you can download just search on google to get it), so we can run the game in full/widescreen on modern OS with out any issues!
II.
I also told to the key members (lead programmers / game designers, the Digital Reality CEO) to please release the game source code and / or the game map editor, since it was published over 20 years, and I guess that they aren't interested in the game anymore. I know that THQ Nordic bought SOME Digital Reality's game source code, but I guess that Platoon is not among them!
So, I guess that they can release the source code. I have sent messages, joined a facebook forum where the old devs used to gather, talking a lot about the future of game developments, etc. I'm still waiting for some guy's reply.
Once I have the source code and / or the map editor and they allows me to share it will you, I will!

Can you ask them anything about the missing 3 missions? The game has 15 in the files, but in the game itself totally there are 12 playable missions. Main character even has voice clips, which talk about the things completely unrelated to any of the missions in the game.
