Overgrowth takes place in the savage world of Lugaru where rabbits, wolves and other animals are forced to use paws, claws and medieval weaponry to engage each other in battle. Combining 3rd person adventure platforming with intricate melee combat, Overgrowth achieves a unique feel. Overgrowth also benefits from Wolfire's brand new Phoenix Engine which has been built from the ground up to allow the use of cutting edge graphics, animation, and physics. Add to these exciting features Overgrowth’s realistic artificial intelligence and streamlined control system and the result is an astoundingly immersive experience.

It has fallen upon us to present the crushing conclusion to our first Overgrowth comic! I was really excited to iron out the loose ends in this story, and am grateful to the fans who have stuck with us over the months.

I'm really happy with how it turned out. Sometimes it takes a lot of energy to create panels, but this time the story arc really just rose up and wrote itself. I don't want to spoil it for you, but I actually got a little bit emotional as I drew the final frames. Also, now that it's complete, feel free to introduce your friends to the comic! Make sure to give them this URL so they start at the beginning: Wolfire.com

Overgrowth

There were a lot of things I wanted to tie up here at the end of the comic, and I whaled on the keyboard until I found a satisfactory conclusion. I think I did a pretty smashing job-- but I'll let you be the judge!

Overgrowth comic

Now that it's complete, I would love to hear feedback on what you think of the comic overall, and the ending especially. I put a lot of work crafting the story over the last year to arrive at this conclusion!

I guess the real question is: Marvel or DC?

Been waiting for the end for quite some time now! :D
The story was good, the images looked beautiful and a whaleman to top it off.
Haha, when I saw Whaleman; I knew something wasn't going to go right!
Whaleman crying because he crushed some potential friends,
I thought your ending was very silly! :P

At first I was a bit disappointed but then I realized what day it is today and laughed my *** off. Congrats, this is the only April's fools joke that was actually funny!

you probably just thought "damn, how can I end this?" and then you inhaled some substance, laughed your head off and painted one more picture, right? ;)

This is great though Aubrey! You have a very unique style, however, you would be even better, if you used more than one brush (to create some texture).

...they have been taking themselves seriously? Expression dance in a quilt and beatboxing during tutorial videos isn't quite what I call serious. It's just great! This team is one reason for me to support the game. I should go buy another copy, right now :)!

It was interesting! I liked the sketchy appearance. I also enjoyed the sight into the dog's, rather asian-feudalistic culture.

The ending was... unexpected. And, may I say, a bit of a let-down, if a bit funny non the less.
I was kinda hoping to see where this story would go, but whaleman happened :(
