Overgrowth takes place in the savage world of Lugaru where rabbits, wolves and other animals are forced to use paws, claws and medieval weaponry to engage each other in battle. Combining 3rd person adventure platforming with intricate melee combat, Overgrowth achieves a unique feel. Overgrowth also benefits from Wolfire's brand new Phoenix Engine which has been built from the ground up to allow the use of cutting edge graphics, animation, and physics. Add to these exciting features Overgrowth’s realistic artificial intelligence and streamlined control system and the result is an astoundingly immersive experience.

I followed ure project since the beginning.. But I dont get it why I must pay for a game that thats not even sure it will be released. I really love it and look at all the videos and show my friends... Is there a way I can download an old update just to try it out ? Not that I dont think you will release it but theres so many projects that just drops dead even if it has been an ongoing longer project. Is splitscreen available or can I play with a friend over local LAN ? Thanks for answers :)

Preordering it supports development. I preordered it from the start since lugaru was a great game. Putting your money to them will ensure it gets released.

I would be very interested in a playable demo of an actual build too.

That's exactly what you get when you preorder - access to the alpha builds as they come out.

It will be released. This a professional team that dedicates every work day to the project, and the game is pretty far into development. It's not the kind of project that's about to fail.

The money you pay for the game is supposed to help them pay for server maintenance (Website, game, etc.), as well as general support, I'd imagine. That isn't unreasonable.

The price might be a bit high in my opinion (Since the game isn't out yet. Lower price might attract more people.), but that's their right.

Has it always been 30$? I can't remember when I bought the pre-order package.

Still, you get Overgrowth, which is in a very playable state (And very modular, I believe.), and immediate access to the new alpha builds. You used to get Receiver as well, but I'm not sure if that's still a part of the deal.

I bought it yesterday, and I wouldnt recommend anyone to buy it yet since theres no description how to configure keys or how to download new maps challenges. Also it crashes every 5 time u start it. You cant turn of the music. Of course it was possible to find the config file and edit it in notepad, but its really not worth buying yet due to no descriptions of how to use it.. I mean after I died once and press retry by misstake there is no key to how to get back into mainmenu. usually its escape but that just puts u into the editor thats not possible to drop out of. It looks wonderful and is really cool, but I recommend to wait until the devs fixed so u can config the game

But I noticed they have an irc channel on the homepage that is easy to enter and get quick answers to everything... It was just not available since I had to enter some weird keys from here to there.. but now it all makes sense...so just ignore the above...to gain access to the forums where everything is explained..guess its to get rid of the pirates trying to use it...

If you bought it, you can use de SUMLauncher to configure it and download maps and items, also you can exit the editor pressing "Esc" again and clicking Main Menu, to restart a map press "L".

just a quick question about the development, u said once the arena system is done u r going to go beta and just polish the game for full release, that means the game wont have a campaign like lugaru?

I haven't really heard much about an item/inventory system. I think you guys have talked about the melee weapons a couple of times in some videos, but understandably, haven't elaborated on it.

But, I was wondering, do you guys intend to create a loot/item/upgrade system? Like new, better, more awesome looking armor/weapons/items, and/or a skill based system to let you jump higher, run faster, unlock new combos and so forth?
