The fight for survival is on! OverDose is a class, team & objective based multiplayer game set on a post-apocalyptic Earth. With gameplay in the tradition of classic games such as Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Enemy Territory, melded with up to date gameplay mechanics and movement, OverDose is a unique blend of online action, team play and of course, lots of gore. Using id tech 2 as a base, OverDose features updated engine features like full real time lighting and shadow mapping, physically based rendering, particle and physics simulations and more. Plus, in classic id Software tradition, our engine and game are fully moddable and scriptable, meaning even amateur mod makers can bring their own creations to life with ease. This isn't war... It's an all out apocalypse!
A new quick technology demo of some new things...
Before you watch it take a look at the original level Lauppert.ws

Quake 2s intro level!? Bad ***. God if you guys are looking for a modeler or anything let me know, I won't be around for very long but I'd love to helpout.
Very good work. Reminds me, I need to SVN update ;)
Awesome update! Ever consider releasing the engine under a free software license?
The full source code will be released freely under the GPL license. In fact, all our SDK tools already are, the engine and game will follow soon.
:D
I wish I had medals to give you all.
starting to look ****** sexy
Tracking its sort of weird for me to see some one paying attetion to the old classic Quake 2. Good Luck !
What? I've alway thought that you are about selling this masterpiece because your development is so serious (you even have a design document yay). If this game will be free then... I don't even have the words to say how epic it will be! Look like there is two id softwares now: one commercial and one GPLed. You are doing the very great work guys!
P.S. Your team is still about 5 participants in size?
P.P.S. Where did the q2 evolved go? I know that you passed it over to volunteers, but I can't even find the old forum.
awesome!
