OverDose is a class, team& objective based multiplayer game set on a post apocalyptic Earth, were the Confederate Marine Corps and Marauders battle it out for supremacy over the destroyed cities of a war torn world. I'm not sure what you base your art direction on, it seems like it just has to look cool. I don't think realism is an answer to anything, but logic and common sense play a big part in how an area registers with me.

I do see that this might just be a test to show off particles and it could easily be made a more convincing scene with some "burned" models.

It could be that the mutants or whatever hang up the skeletons of their enemies for a number reasons mainly to scare but its not like it hasn't happened throughout history. Where often enemies, criminals etc were mostly hung up as a warning or to set an example.
