Mindworld is a First Person Action Adventure Game developed with UDK. In January 2011, the project was started. The player gets into the role of Katherine Evans who suffers from depression and is looking for answers in her subconscious mind, which she enters via lucid dreaming. Throughout the adventure, the player has to collect clues, solve puzzles, fight enemies and overcome obstacles in a surreal dreamworld that slowly turns into a fearsome nightmare. Mindworld is divided into four chapters and offers multiple endings, which are influenced by the decisions the player makes during the gameplay.

We did that on purpose, because it's part of the story. The dream version of her is going to be quite... let's just say "different".

Well...I got no suggestions. All looks great to me :P
Although, right after I typed that, I noticed something. The bottom of her jacket is black, but the rest is brown. Not sure why.

It's really awesome IMO it looks like she could be real which is very impressive with good anatomy and facial detail funny how that it looks sorta like someone I know in real life with the same first name too

i really like this concept art, but after such a long time of tracking this one i would love to finally see some real in game footage. concept is ok, but its the game we are interested in, i am at least.
concept is just concept.
please don't get me wrong, i don't want to sound harsh but after all, after so much time i would think you would have gone past the concept stage and really start to develop things. because when that takes as long as this concept stage then i really don't see this project happening.

Not going to happen, things are getting developed, we never stopped and we never will until it's released. I've explained our situation and way of showcasing our work several times and this is the last time I'm going to respond to you. If you want to continue showing your disbelieve in us, go ahead, we don't mind. But don't expect any more replies from us for you, because you've shown nothing but disrespect up to here.

There really is no such thing as too much concept art. I'm sure these dudes are doing more than just making concept art but even if they aren't, while the art is good, keep making it. If the environments can be fleshed out fully before production commences, production is far smoother.

I for one would like to see more concept art in the same vein as this one. The environment pieces are very nice, but lack the definition of more structured concept art. It's nice to see you're starting to flesh out the characters more, and your artist is very good. Are we going to see more model concepts?

Yes, there are going to come more character concepts. The dream version of Katherine (the one you'll play most of the time) is currently in development.

I know what you mean about the structured environmental art. The paintings I'm doing are mostly mood paintings and just show an atmosphere we are heading towards. The reason for not having concept art that show locations from the game is that we don't need them yet. The 3D department is not in need of any concept art right now and uses photographies for reference.

Later on, we are going to need that concept art, as the worlds don't exist. Once we've finished the parts that can be realized from photographies, there's going to come the concept art you're asking for right now.
