"Marooned: Arkanus Island" is a new, and upcoming, first person survival game that is currently in development.
The game pits you alone in singleplayer, or with friends in a cooperative mode, on a tropical island located in the north atlantic ocean. You wake up washed up on a beach with nothing but your brain and your wits to keep you alive. You must gather food,water and build yourself a shelter in order to survive harsh tropical storms, tornados , hurricane's and an unknown threat that is lurking in the dark.
To create this game, we're utilising the Sandbox Editor that runs with the CryEngine 3.

Hello everyone! We are getting to the stage where we are looking to submit our game to Steam Greenlight. (Exciting I know!) This will mean that you will be able to vote for Marooned alongside other potential steam games, If we get enough votes the game will become 'greenlit' and you can expect to see Marooned on Steam! Additionally we are going to be showing some early environmental footage very soon in which Aleksi (RaZoR-FIN) and I will be discussing many features of the game and what we are planning to do in the future. Onto the main topic of Q&A we'l be answering as many questions as we can in the video, to ask a question just post your question in the comment section of this news post and we'l then prioritise what we talk about based on the most common questions.
Here is one of the many beautiful views you can expect from this vast tropical landscape.
Once again as we progress through the development of our game, positions are again opening up for new members to join our team. We are currently looking for a Lead Character Designer/Animator, who will be responsible for everything from player character models to animals and other organic models. Haha, we are aware of that. We are definitely sticking with Arkanus and we'l elaborate on the reason for it at a later date.

Can't wait for this mod! I always wanted to do something like this. I wanted to make a survival- horror game in which you would survive in the wilderness(forrest) while being stalked by sasquatches XD

I made an account for moddb to tell just how excited I am about this game. Is it possible to pre-order closer on the release? I probably doubt it but it would be awesome to have this game as soon as possible. I am patient though. Take your time and bring the game that will surely become a popular one.
