Very impressive. I guess a way to make the explosion more realistic is to increase its size and opaqueness slightly. Plus, it's not that the gibs get blown too high or too far, its that they aren't moving at realistic speeds. However, I think everything looks nice right now.
This is really good work, I really enjoyed watching the car parts fly through the air.

Upon seeing the explosion, I thought, "Hey, that's pretty badass." Then, I heard the default metal collision sound. I cringed. Is there going to be any change to default source engine collision sounds?
You should put a driver in this car, so after the explosion you could see nice ragdoll too. :)
