Dropping by to announce a contest open to all fans of Warlord. Starting today, January 2nd, we're asking for fanmade videos and walkthroughs for Warlord. In exchange, we're giving you prizes - fabulous ones! Read on and get ready to participate!
THE VIDEOS
We want videos. From speed runs, to reviews, to gameplay videos, and to pseudo-commercials - we want them! To give you an example of what we're looking for, here's a few fan contributions that have caught our eye in the past: here and here.
The video could even be a cheesy rick roll shot, or a funny music video parody using Warlords. It could also be a trailer for the game or a quick run through of a level you did flawlessly synced to Britney Spears. The sky is the limit, give us something to talk about!
Also, please note that while variety is encouraged, your video could even be of the free demo level if you don't already own Warlord. We will not be judging on their location or map, but rather quality, so feel free to give it a shot even if you don't have access to some of the better levels (in my opinion) of Warlord.
THE WALKTHROUGHS
Not adept in the art of video making? Don't fret, there's another option to be put into the running. Lately on the forums we've seen a lot of tips and hints about how to dominate in Warlord, and now is your time to capitalize on them! If you can put together a good walkthrough or strategy for a level or two, submit it to us, and it may appear in the official GameFAQ page as well as our Warlord website.
THE PRIZES
The first place winner gets 4 full copies of Iron Grip: Warlord and its expansion to give to friends and family. Their video or walkthrough will also be posted, with credit, for all to see in the official Isotx YouTube and GameTrailers channel if a video and on the website as well as GameFAQs if a walk-through. We'll also be posting them here on ModDB.
The runner-up, of which we'll pick two, gets one free copy of Iron Grip: Warlord and its expansion each.
Additional prizes may be added if submissions really surprise us 
SUBMISSION
Email, PM, or otherwise give us your submissions to Isotx by January 31st, 2009 at 11:59PM PST.
All submissions can be emailed to monique@isotx.com, or PM'd to me here on ModDB! If it's a large video size and you can't email it, feel free to upload it to YouTube or another file hosting site and provide us the link.
The contests entries will be judged by myself, Jayme, and Vincent van Geel (the game's team lead).
THE RULES & REGULATIONS
- Don't copy or otherwise steal anyone else's material. On our forums, there's been a lot of tips and guides - unless it's something you directly wrote, we don't want it. Be original, there's a lot of ways to own the Confederates, you don't need to use someone else's strategy.
- Videowise, we don't want anything too offensive. Keep it PG-13. Jokes are cool, so are parodies - but no nudity or racism, OK?
- Submissions need to be received by January 31, 2009 or else they won't qualify for a prize.
- By submitting these to Isotx, these products become Isotx's property and we reserve the right to use them how we want to. We promise to always give you credit, but retain rights to put them on display for promotional purposes.
