As you probably noticed Flavien (InfinityAdmin) has been experimenting with different shadow techniques in the past, in this news post we show you yet another shadow technique and we are very happy with the results. We have nice shadows on ships and on terrain that can be seen over a distance of 64km!

WhiteSpade01 sent an update of the Sovereign (a 650m long ship), textured with UV tiling and SpAce's texture pack. With the new shadows, we couldn't resist taking a few screenshots. The shader is still basic and only features diffuse, bump, specular, emission and shadows. It lacks the custom/dirt maps as well as the anisotropic lighting (giving the metallic look). No HDRI/bloom yet.

Infinity continues to amaze
lol - 64 km - I don't think the human eye is capable of looking that far and still determining shadow from light. Anyway, sounds impressive whatever its going to be good for. Still looking good, but the thing I liked most about Infinity is the art, really.
:D Keep up the awesome work!
