I Shall Remain (ISR) makes you responsible for the life of one US Marine who has awoken in a Zombie infested world. Its up to you to lead him on a path that will allow him to survive, fight back and become a leader of men. ISR has superb artwork, music and storytelling that is reflective of the high quality standard that its creators live for. Its creators have challenged themselves to leave a lasting impression on the independent gaming industry with a serious, entertaining and cost-effective game dedicated to a group of young people who created a culture. ISR will be released in episodes. Each episode of the game will build on previously installed content and will have new features, content and will tell a new part of the game story. The game's prologue will be released in January 2011 for free and will include a tutorial so players can have a running start when the first game episode is released.

PROLOGUE STORY + SCRIPT


GAME OPENS UP in a small open area.
You are in control of a team leader, a Marine captain. There are
zombies moving in and attacking you. They are common and half
zombies. You and your team are equipped with melee weapons.


The first 3 voice cuts will play
about after the player kills his first zombie.

1 CAPTAIN:
Base this is team one. POSREP. We've reached checkpoint alpha. We are
under attack but holding. How copy!
1 BASE:
Team one, base. POSREP RECIEVED. Checkpoint alpha. Hold and await
orders.

2 CAPTAIN:
Team! Hold this position!


After you defeat 2 waves, the next
voice cuts will play.

BASE
: Assault team one, this
is base, do you have comms with convoy five?

3 CAPTAIN:
Convoy
five, come in.

A few seconds
pause before moving on...

4 CAPTAIN:
Convoy
five, can you hear us?

A few seconds
pause before moving on...

5 CAPTAIN:
Base, this is team one. Negative. Nothing but static on their
channel.

3 BASE:
Team one, base, understood. Standby for assault mission.

6 CAPTAIN:
Base, be advised. Team one has no ammunition. We're left to knives
and pipes.

4 BASE:
Team one, base. Resupply is unavailable. You'll have to scavenge. We
need you to assault through GRID COORDINATE FOXTROT ALPHA SIX-NINER.

7 CAPTAIN:
Base, this is team one. Roger. Grid coordinate foxtrot alpha six
niner.

8 CAPTAIN:
GENTLEMEN, WE ARE PUSHING FURTHER IN! DO NOT SHOW FEAR. STRIKE AT THE
HEAD AND THE SHINS.


You and your team move forward into
the city. Zombies continue their attack. A couple of city blocks up
is the remains of Convoy five. (use a jeep convoy.. human bodies
everywhere. weapon and ammo loot near each body.)


When
the character sees the convoy of jeeps, the next set of voice cuts
will play.


9 CAPTAIN:
Base this is assault team one. We've located the remains of convoy
five. They're all gone.

5 BASE:
Team one, understood. Stay sharp.

10 CAPTAIN:
GENTLEMEN! GRAB WEAPONS AND AMMO. ALL THAT YOU CAN CARRY. GET READY
TO PUSH!


This one is
open for discussion. Perhaps put up a display “press ENTER when
youre ready to move on” We then play the next two.


11 CAPTAIN:
BASE, this is assault team one- we're pushing through now to the
objective.

12 CAPTAIN:
THE BUILDING AHEAD. REMEMBER YOUR TRAINING. PUSH NOW!


Your team move in and assault a
large building that's filled with zombies. Zombies come out of the
floor here. After you kill the bulk of them off, the game moves on.


After killing
lots of zombies in the building, the next set of voices will play.


1 SBR 5:
Any station, any station this is Saber five. Come in.

13 CAPTAIN:
Saber five, this assault team one we hear you five by. Go ahead.

2 SBR 5:
Team one, we request immediate fire support at Grid coordinate
FOXTROT ALPHA FIVE NINER.

14 CAPTAIN:
SABER FIVE, fire support at foxtrot alpha five niner. Understood.
Standby.

15 CAPTAIN:
Base, this is assault team one. Request to deviate from objective and
provide fire support for saber five.


Wait several
seconds.. no reply


16 CAPTAIN:
Base, this is assault team one. Request to deviate from objective and
provide fire support for saber five. Do you copy!

6 BASE:
Assault team one, this is base. Request is denied. Hold your
position.

17 CAPTAIN:
Base, team one. Be advised, there is nothing of value at the
objective.

7 BASE:
Team one, this is base. You will hold your present position.

3 SBR 5:
(distraught)
Assault
team on this is saber five. What's the status on your fire support.

18 CAPTAIN:
Saber five, team one. Fire support is unavailable. Hang in there.


Kill another
small wave of zombies, something to pass about a minute of time. We
move on to the next cuts..


4 SBR 5:
(distraught)
Ahhhh!
19 CAPTAIN:
Base this is team one. We need to move to saber five. They are near
our position.

9 BASE:
CAPTAIN, YOU WILL NOT MOVE FROM YOUR POSITION. THAT BUILDING IS
CRUCIAL. **NOTE IVE SWITCHED POSITIONS OF 8 & 9.

20 CAPTAIN:
SABER FIVE this is team one what's your status.

5 SBR 5:
They're
all dead.

22 CAPTAIN:
Base
this is team one. We are moving to saber five's position.

23 CAPTAIN:
TEAM, READY UP! WE WILL PROVIDE SUPPORT TO SABER FIVE.

8 BASE:
GOD DAMNIT TEAM ONE, YOU WILL NOT MOVE FROM THE OBJECTIVE. HOLD THAT
BUILDING.

24 CAPTAIN:
Base, team one. When I get back I'm burning your building to the
ground.

25 CAPTAIN:
Assault team one, MOVE-MOVE-MOVE!


Saber
five's position has been revealed on the minimap. You move from your
position and towards it fighting zombies on the way. You ignore
several calls from BASE.

PUSH THROUGH
TO SABER 5's POSITION. ON YOUR WAY YOU GET A FEW CALLS FROM BASE.
PLAY THE FOLLOWING CUTS ON THE PLAYER's WAY TO SABER 5.


10 BASE:
CAPTAIN GET BACK TO YOUR POSITION!


11 BASE:
CAPTAIN, TURN BACK OR YOU WILL FACE A COURT MARTIAL.


When
you arrive at saber five's position, you find HUNDREDS of dead
zombies around a destroyed jeep. Three Marines lay dead. One is
barely alive.

DEFEAT
REMAINING ZOMBIES PLUS BIG BOSS OR SOMETHING INTERESTNIG. PUT UP
SCREEN INSTRUCTIONS, FIREMAN's CARRY THE DOWNED MARINE.

You
pick him up and move him back to your original position.


AFTER
YOU PICK THE MARINE UP..


12 BASE:
YOU SON OF A BITCH CAPTAIN. WHEN YOU GET BACK YOURE CAREER IS DONE!

CAPTAIN:

Gentlemen, let's make our way back! (quietly) Hold young man, we're
getting you home.


YOU HAVE TO
CARRY THE MARINE SOMEWHERE, GET ATTACKED OCASSIONALY.. FORCED TO PUT
HIM DOWN AND FIGHT AND THEN PICK HIM BACK UP.
