Named Game of the Year by over 50 publications, Valve's début title blends action and adventure with award-winning technology to create a frighteningly realistic world where players must think to survive. Also includes an exciting multiplayer mode that allows you to play against friends and enemies around the world.
You sit in a diner with your friend Brenda, when she tells you of Mountain View. Authors note: The ancient people in the story are fictional though I thought they would have been Native American. I wanted to add real Native American Translations in the game though I couln't find decent materials to do it well. I wanted to include the line "I mean no disrespect" at the end of the game. Saddly the American/Navajo dictionary I bought seemed mainly for outsiders dealing "with" and didn't have the word "respect" in it. Because I couldn't give honor, I didn't utilize the language. Given the area it should really be in Hopi becasue I have read that they are decendants of the Hisatsinom. Being stubborn, I am sad about this but time/money retrains further research. : ( This game-pak has been tested quite-a-bit, but because of the above it will remain as beta. I feel the translations would have added to the game and I hope you still find it enjoyable.
Yeah, the beginning of this is kinda a funny. I thought it was going to be a haunted house thing but it turns out it was just a little prelude to underground crawling around killing a whole host of aliens. Pretty interesting as far as mods with a unusual setting go.
