anyway bad job all it did is make my game files broken there was no sound

I've seen people say some addons don't work, I always wonder why.
First thing i can think of why is.
One: You did something wrong/incorrectly.
Two: You don't have the real game (As in, you downloaded the game from somewhere and didn't buy it from Steam.) Oh i know about those, believe me ;3
But i'm thinking you did something wrong. So this is how you do it. You put the custom folder in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\hl2
or if you have this: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\hl2
If this was a serious problem, i'm sure others would've said something about it.
