Grotesque Tactics: Evil Heroes is an ironic, story-intensive fantasy RPG parody with a turn based combat system and "Monkey Island / Deathspank" style dialogues! It's a refreshing mix of elements from both western and asian RPGs which can be compared to Strategy RPGs like King's Bounty, Heroes of Might & Magic, Fire Emblem, Disgaea, Final Fantasy Tactics or Shining Force.

Grotesque Tactics is avaible now on, Steam, Gamersgate, Impulse Driven, Amazon and other digital plattforms.

Grotesque Tactics was developed by Silent Dreams, a young indie company in Muelheim an der Ruhr, Germany. Five people toiled very diligently on this game, with a budget of only a few thousand (provided by their parents btw ;)). SD's first own game was successful in Germany and on Steam. With it, Silent Dreams earned enough money to develope the sequel Grotesque Tactics 2: Dungeons & Donuts.

Grotesque Tactics is another example that indie games have enough potential to let developers live out their dream, if they have the passion, patience and ability to work in a team...

Grotesque Tactics combines the features and clichés of Western and Asian console RPGs and provides a highly addicting and entertaining change to the current, more serious role playing games.

  • turn-based, tactical battles featuring the most hilarious animations ever seem in an RPG.
  • Explore beautiful forests and villages as well as dark dungeons in the fantasy world of Grotesque.
  • An ironic storyline with a deep atmosphere, which RPG fans will be singing ballads of for the next thousands of years.
  • Huge, detailed and ill-tempered bosses
  • Entertaining multiple choice conversations and dialogue puzzles in a style similar to Monkey Island are giving the SRPG genre a new face.
  • Classic RPG elements: complete story-driven quests, discover treasure, carry on trade, level and power up party members.
  • Distinctive party members: for example the arrogant hero Holy Avatar, the blood thirsty vampire Solithaire and the sweet angel Angelina who easily loses her temper.
  • Half-naked virgins can be rescued from the claws of vile monsters to then follow you into battle as groupie-pets
  • Obsession: Every hero possesses an expressive flaw like irascibility, the sudden telling of ridiculously long heroic tales or insane jealousy, which can however be used to ones advantage in battle – if the chosen one acts wisely...
  • Programmed by the lead/senior programmer of Gothic 1-3 Carsten Edenfeld and other passionate as well as good-looking RPG indie developers of Silent Dreams.

a hint from us. if you have a final level of your indie game, go to steam and fill out the documents. You have automatically so much more chances, publicity and better sales for your game. If you get no answers, go to a steam publisher and talk with them.
