The head reminds me of an Evangelion for some reason. Like Unit 02 with only two eyes.
Yeah, I would have to say evangelion and some other anime/ manga drawings where inspiration for the sharp angles on the design.
Nothing wrong with that, though the forms of the Evangelions were somewhat based around the flexible/organic element.
