NOTE: ONLY RUNS ON OPERATING SYSTEMS NEWER THAN WINDOWS XP (WINDOWS VISTA, WINDOWS 7, WINDOWS 8)! WINDOWS XP AND OLDER CANNOT RUN THE GAME! "Our planet is in turmoil! Wherever you look, there is destruction and chaos. Every force of nature seems to have been unleashed!" As the only person with the technology to set things right, you step into your time machine and travel back 900 years to change the course of history. Unfortunately, your travel is disrupted by the destabilized reality you tried to flee from, and you end up in an alternate portion of space-time: Distorted Earth. Time flows differently here, and so you estimate you have only 15 minutes to gather your bearings before the Apocalypse catches up with you again. This is the alpha version of Earth Overclocked. The full version will be released at a later date. The game will only be free during the alpha period, and after the full release the alpha version will be available as a demo.

Are you running the game on Windows XP or an older OS? It doesn't run on older OSs due to the fact that the compiler we use doesn't support older OSs at this time.

Try reinstalling the game.

Earth Overclocked Alpha - Stuff About Ruins Update via @weebly

The game runs extremely well on the NVIDIA Shield. The screen seems slightly too small for the game, though. It's hard to see some things.

Now in possession of a NVIDIA Shield. Guess what that means...

Apr 19 2014, 2:59am

Development has mainly been slow lately due to how busy April is. Should start picking up again over the Summer. Other news: 16:9 resolution

For those wondering about Mac port, it will come in time. Not really in a position for that port at the moment.

Apr 9 2014, 10:43pm

Might take a break from OUYA porting and work on Ubuntu (Linux) porting instead. (We will still work on OUYA porting.)

Ruins: A high level biome that is heavily affected by the atmosphere of Distorted Earth. Black & White in appearance.

OUYA port is looking promising so far. Tried Android tablet as well... pretty bad performance. Tablet port might not happen.

Mar 21 2014, 4:38am

The OUYA port of Earth Overclocked won't look as good as the PC version due to Android limitations, unfortunately.

We will give shoutouts to those who let's play Earth Overclocked: Alpha Version, here on Twitter. Just message us and it will happen.
