No matter which way you choose, get ready for adrenaline-pumping, action-packed excitement that's sure to give your heart a real workout.
This replaces music in Doom 2, to that of intense action 80' synthwave, retro futuristic high quality music. Randomized for every playthrough! MARK 2 Edition! Now with better code, more music, more features and better flow!
SynthDoom Mk2 Edition
Music replacer/randomizer for Doom 2! The style of music is 80' retro synthwave, reminiscent of the feel of old action movies like Terminator, Robocop and Blade Runner.
Now powered with NowThatsWhatICallMidi's code, which allows for easier expansion of new music in the mod, as well as providing hotkeys to switch the currently playing track to a random new one.
Its also easy to take this mod and convert it to any other music randomizer mod. Just replace the songs with the same name (SONG001, SONG002 and so on) with MP3 or OGG versions and make sure the LANGUAGE.txt inside the mod has the correct amount of correctly numbered entries.

There are many ways to use/install mods, so just look up general mod usage guides on the net to find the best method that suits you.
Me, I use GZDoom 2.2.0, with the Doom2.wad. I install mods via the gzdoom-username.ini. At this location in the file:
I add this line:
Save the ini file, and launch gzdoom.exe. Done.
I install all mods this way. Its also handy to have a seperate .txt file to store all the Path= lines, for easy reuse whenever I need them again.
