Teasing, mitigation, and answers!
Due to the sudden rush of interest for Doom: Fall of Mars once again, I figure I have some explaining to do.

Don't get your hopes up for another release anytime soon. There is in existence a slightly updated version of the beta, with many of the bugs (pointed out by the community) fixed. But unless there is enough pressure to upload that post-beta release, I will save the time for working out the plans for the future release.
For those of you who have been keeping up with the news on the forums you will know that the future release is to be a complete revision of the original game engine.

For the love of Doom could someone please resume making this, I'd rather play a fully fledged version of this over Diablo 3! Anyone up for finding out where the creator lives and stealing his source code? :3
Sadly, this project is all but dead, and has been for ages. I used to be a member of the forums associated with this, and there wasn't any updates associated with it in a long time, sadly.
I doubt that the source code is even easily accessible now, so the closest thing to it is the DoomRL, unless people wanted to start from scratch completely?
