The year is 2052 and the world is a dangerous and chaotic place. Terrorists operate openly, killing thousands; drugs, disease and pollution kill even more. The world's economies are close to collapse and the gap between the insanely wealthy and the desperately poor grows ever wider. Worst of all, an ages old conspiracy bent on world domination has decided that the time is right to emerge from the shadows and take control. No one believes they exist. No one but you.

Description

Ever wanted to play deus ex campaigns big and small with coop? Got a small party of friends for a private server? Don't mind a few things lacking completion or polish? This mod will rock your mind to its foundations. Broop Mod allows you to customization your body, face, items, ammos, and go to virtually any campaign with debugged NPC's, working map travel, and fun features and details to boot. One tiny mod file, a few steps for setup, 100% vanilla deus ex compatible, set up a server, travel to some maps, then play and slay by friends new and old as you desire, even compatible with outside mods such as Zodiac, RS2020 and any non-full conversion mods, provided the host links maps and texture files for the server to run.

Edit: Oops. We did some testing for Public adaptation for fixing new profile issues. This subsequently broke old profiles. This has been remedied lightning fast, sorry about that all 0 people who got to DL during its unauthed period. This should now be secured with a proper switch as it should have. Just can't win with these initial uploads.

Patch Stuff:
-Fixed trigger requiring exits not working.
-Fixed accessed nones. Arg. May still be some.
-Added buff to health bonuses on pawns by 50%
-Buffed 0 rating weapons (commandos, robots, and others) to be elites.

1.3 "Somewhat-more-acceptable" Patch:
-Music no longer bugs out, and is iterated more efficiently. This wasn't that it was programmed wrong, it's just that MP replication was not taken into account. With replication and fickle data transfers in the way, so it checks for more consistency to pop out before it leaps on changing music, but changes to combat very quickly and reliably.
-Slight debuff on enemy health buff levels.
-Enemies are no longer super psychic. They seem to be at a good balance in senses, although sometimes are a little dim-witted. This was primarily related to bReactDistress and HearingThreshold messing up. They are 1/4 as good at hearing as they previously were and will not long-range-chain distress alerts. Seems standard-level senses don't work right in MP, so that's been calibrated.
-Dunno if anyone really takes time to play this, but it's a spin off of something that's been developed related to Hatchet MP testing, so I figure it couldn't hurt to throw this out for an hour or two of play by a couple of people Nothing to lose, really... I ain't even mad.

1.4 "Security Grids" Patch:
-In light of stealth actually being a thing now (just don't use explosives if you aren't ready for a crowd), cameras and turrets finally have their replacement versions installed into broop mod! This means they look at you, set off an alarm, and turrets will start slinging lead your way. Don't forget to consider EMP grenades in your arsenal.

The game crashes a majority of the time when we try to switch maps via walking to the map triggers. Its still pretty fun to goof around with though, spruce it up and it'd be a perfect mod.

Yeah. Some of the shiny features were very hatchet dependent, so this is much more Vanilla oriented... so it's about on par with vanilla's depth, that is less than optimal for mods. Now what IS important to know is that it is compatible with various server packages for gear codes, in case you wanted TNAG, tactical, whatever, and needed to spruce up the difficulty with damage multiplier or something.

That being said... the crashes aren't properly understood. It's clear that they are at random, and during some missions and map transitions that may be either more common or there may be more than one source on the crash. There's nothing immediately in mind for what causes said crashes, but I know I've spotted issues way in the past related to some of the SP bits causing loading errors or map exits errors, but that accounts for only some. Otherwise, even if it's manually triggered via console command vs bumpable teleporter actor, the crashes occur in varying degrees based on the map at hand. Big mystery, and definitely annoying, but at least with map saving features and DX's now aging CPU usage rebooting should be fast and easy if you use the saved slot. Not much to be said for now, but we may look into some other things as this sees use for the testing party and ideas enter the picture as to how and why crashes occur. Sorry I don't have more to offer at the moment.

An update was released a wee bit ago to v1.2, which has some smaller tweaks... and I'm not sure where the file can go from here, as prettymuch all of these instabilities aren't clear where they're sourced, and the features list is about as good as it gets. If anything does come up, it'll be updated along side in the public release as well as the private version, so there isn't anything new being left out. I don't really do blogs, but ModDB is about as close as its comes, but this mod is also far too small for its own mod page.
