After the funeral of his recently deceased father, a young mechanic ends up being plagued by intense nightmares. Nightmares so vivid, he starts to suffer from severe sleep deprivation, depression, fear attacks and slight reality loss. Visiting numerous psychologists didn't help much. Even less traditional therapy such as wingwave coaching or hypnosis didn't reveal the cause of his troubles. He suffers until contacted by a less conventional psychologist who offers him a possible but dangerous solution. His theory suggests that the vibrant nightmares are a defense mechanism to hide a surpressed memory within his subconciousness under the disturbing images. An experimental machina should allow the protagonist to wander through his dreams in full awareness without waking up. Traveling inside his own mind. However, if he dies within this highly drug influenced trip...he might remain comatose for the rest of his life.

Fight, solve puzzles and survive through abstract dreamscapes to uncover the true source of your nightmares burried within the depths of your subconciousness.

Adapt or perish.

Hey there! I hope you remember this game because its been a little eternity since the last update. I must apologize for that but I have been rather preoccupied (again) and most progress I made does not statisfy me just yet ...at all. You might anticipate some major progress but I'm afraid I can't show you anything new or particulary interesting at this moment. It just felt like its time to send a little lifebeep out there...to show that this is still alive :)

You may not believe me but even though I have a lot of experience in this genre, mixing horror with surrealism in FPSC is extremely hard! There is a fine line between eerie and engaging and boring/ineffective and detaching. Having the constant threat of hitting the memory cap in mind, I made a lot of nice assets and levels and deleted them again as they where simply not "do-able".

There are some good news aswell though :)

I did dig in my collection of models and found some cool character models. I've put some efforts in these assets and would like to present them to you:

At this moment, I'm not sure what monsters and fiends will make it in the final release but I can tell you that I will try a lot more to make the models I already have look threatening and creative and to create new ones to match the games theme.

I tweaked the shotgun so you have gunlag, reoil, shader effects and you will only reload as much shells as you fired.

I really like the shotgun. Reminds me of my IThaca model 37 12 gauge....
Could you make a revolver of some kind? I think it goes well with this type of game. There's something so creepy about having to load 5 or 6 rounds one by one.
Here's some suggestions for revolvers:
Colt Python 4 inch barrel .357
Smith and Wesson Model 66 4 inch barrel .357
Smith and Wesson Model 36 Snub Nosed .38 Special

Sorry, i've just always been obsessed with revolvers in horror games.

A lever action rifle would also be original and cool. Winchester Model 94, maybe?

Also, another suggestion: Could you not make the melee weapons horribly underpowered, like the meat cleaver in Euthanasia?

Yeah, I see if I add a Revolver to this :) Its a good idea actually, even though I prefer pistols.

And yes, the melee weapons will be underpowered because I had people playing through euthanasia using the melee weapon only which was designed as a last resort and missing out on the weapons that worked far better visually and gameplaywise.

Its a shooter ;) Not a brawler.
