Blaze is a retro/minimalistic styled sci-fi first person flight/shooter action game. The game can be played almost single handedly with just mouse. It's about shooting a lot of alien things (in semi-randomized missions?). The alien things are trying capture all your base, and have already captured at least half of it. You have to defend the base and capture the alien controlled areas back. Or something like that...

My plan is to rework it a bit. Possibly it won't have a gun, even if in Abuse the aliens had guns on their backs and this monster c was sort of meant to be those aliens.

Some other more vertical character will have guns: probably something like this: Moddb.com

I'll probably also use this: Moddb.com

but tilt that 90 degrees, so it's horizontal.. and remove the middle organic stuff, or make it different/more visible from the forward view. Also add some guns to it.

Trying the new models ingame in Darkplaces.

These are currently scaled to fit a 72 units hitbox. Alternatively it could be a 60 units hitbox. Maybe I could use the current 40% scale, but animate it so that it fits into the smaller hitbox. Then weapons and other smaller objects could appear nicer size.

They just have simple color textures. The player character has some hardly noticeable one bone animation in the upper torso, just to see if I get animations exported from Blender... Seems it worked ok :)
