Blaze is a retro/minimalistic styled sci-fi first person flight/shooter action game. The game can be played almost single handedly with just mouse. It's about shooting a lot of alien things (in semi-randomized missions?). The alien things are trying capture all your base, and have already captured at least half of it. You have to defend the base and capture the alien controlled areas back. Or something like that...

If my calculations are correct.. if something somehow got the max damage from it, it would do 3600 points damage, but very unlikely to happen. The Plasma Storm could do 6400 points damage, but again, very unlikely.

I upped Shambler's health to 1000, and usually they die from one shot from either weapon. Sometimes they survive, if the damage pushed them away.

Maybe they're both a bit overkill, and people would moan about them being noob weapons in DM... But I could always have different settings for "Player vs Player" and "Player vs Monster" damages?

Nah, keep the damages - let the wimps deal. LOL
(perhaps a rare weapon, or an ammo / fire rate limit - like the bfgs)
Looks killer btw...this is how I always imagined my flame thrower.
I still use the silly quake 1 burn sprite :(

Description

New look for the Fire Blast. Well, actually these are some old explosion sprites I made when I was doing this with Doom. Looks pretty good with additive blending. They could probably have some more frames, now it's 3 frames. I used some random scale effect to make it look more alive..

The fire will explode, go through enemies, slide on walls/floors, slight bounce, and is affected by gravity (trail fire can also rise up sometimes).

Note: it's firing at 3x rate, just to get a longer looking fire trail for the screenshot.
