Blaze is a first person shooter action game using the DarkPlaces Engine. There may also be an extra model pack for some Doom engine(s) later. It is heavily inspired of Abuse, Doom and Quake series. The game environments will be sci-fi tech bases, alien hives, hell, etc.

I really like your textures, looks smooth and pretty. Can you do like decals to stick on the walls to ugly them up? Is there weapon damage to the wall? Like shooting it and stuff leaves laser burns?

The bottom left was meant to be a canister that has 8 bullets stored vertically. At first I was going to make the bullets visible, but that felt a bit too much polys for an ammo item.

Yea, there's some blast marks on the walls if you shoot them. At the moment these are still engine default effects...

And about the different sized ammo boxes... I think I'll just go with one size. But I might make some backpack/whatever item that could give more ammo or multiple different ammo types.

What about if a backpack has a random amount of ammo in it? At least make that canister glow or something so it looks more like an item pickup.

Yea, I could try adding some glow. I tried having the orange/brown mid section glowing, but that kind of looked really bad. Sort of took all the contrast away. Maybe the glowing part should be surrounded by those darker colors.

Description

Ammo items for the weapons. Also lower right corner has medikits. They have some amount of glow in some parts, except the A-T Rifle ammo doesn't.

They spawn at random angles ingame, so I don't need to rotate them in the level editor.

Should also make a bomb ammo pickup, but I think I'll change the bomb model a bit smaller, and then have 4 of them in the pickup, plus some holder thing. Maybe also add something to the bomb so it can look inactive or active.
