Apocalyptic is a small top down survival game built in Scirra Construct set after a nuclear catastrophe, and most of the worlds population is wiped out. The player must build a shelter inside a building, and then collect resources to survive against zombie attacks and rival NPCs.

As I watch with dread ( :D ) as the views/watchers goes up, I'd just like to remind people not to expect a Project Zomboid/Minecraft/DayZ competitor. Just in case. :)

Long time no update. Honestly, for awhile there I lost inspiration, but since then I've played many a zombie game, and I'm back in. :D

So... lot's of little yet important things. Firstly- I've switched back to the open, wasteland style world. One- it's what I meant to create in the first place, and two, I've set up a tile based generation system, which I'm quite proud of. :)

It's only simple, it generates lakes, sand around that, normal terrain and forests. Simple right now, but it takes a step away from the premade maps. The graphics are a little sad too at the moment.

I've also done a TON of work on the inventory. Currently, there are 16 non-weapon "consumables" implemented. They all work within the inventory, and can be eaten/drank, which effect your stats. Oh yea- there's a stat panel now too, to the left there. To keep it simple, there's hunger, thirst and fatigue.

You can also equip weapons to another slot, but that's not quite done yet. I'm also trying to get the melee prototypes to actually work on the AI. That's one of the reasons I've switched to a smaller scale, as it seems to improve the AIs performance. And it works better anyway.

I'll have more news later on, better not clog up this image... :)
