In the near future, great fortune awaits in the heavens and the brave men and women who venture into the dark frontier to take it are introduced to nearly as many dangers. For the people who arrive in outer space with nothing but a ship and a little pocket money, life can be tough. Aether Core is a 2D top down space sim, featuring a randomly generated environment. You play as a hopeful spaceship pilot, someone in search of finding fame and fortune in space. Will you be a merchant or a mercenary? How about a pirate or smuggler? The game takes place in a randomly generated solar system full of choices and paths to take. It is a flash game made in Adobe Flash IDE and when finished will become available as a free web game or as a free downloadable flash application.

Change Log:

  • Multiple UI elements reworked
  • Interior stations completely reworked, converted to a side-scroller.
  • Game remade in AS3 so that it's more efficient.
  • Combat Hud and turret removed, these will be added back when they are ready.

I don't plan on posting the alpha 0.01, since this is the latest version upon adding this to IndieDB, so having these changes here are redundant.
