Why Far Cry wil blow the crap out of Hl2, DoomIII and some other games Thread

It is going to come out when it said it would. Hl2, from the looks of it, won't come out untill September! Ridiculus!

i didnt like far cry... its been done before

Far Cry's fun... not as groundbreaking as HL2 or STALKER... but remember, its just a game.

Half-Life 2 will be revolutionary SkitZay, there's no denying it. Even if it sucks teh proverbial bollocks, it will still most likely be the best selling game of all time. And if the vids are anything to go by, it will still be good. I think your love of Far Cry is clouding your better judgment, so I will spare you a spanking for now.

Hl2 will be revolutionary becuase...
1)Amazing graphics engine
2)the incridble amount of mods that will be made
3)the combination of GREAT gameplay and good story telling
4)the combination of these three is 1 hella of a formula for a alltime classic game:)
while far cry....yeah...uh...willl probably go on to make some mediocre sequels, nothing as ground breaking as STALKER and hl2 will be.

Well put operativex. Far Cry will have a special place in my heart, but is just another FPS which can deliver the goods.

But still, it all goes down to the fact that we haven't even played HL2 or STALKER yet. (Unless you are a real loser who downloads leaked beta's...)

Anyways true the hl2 game will be revolutionary but the game wont be too good. Valve i think is a poor company (even if i cant do better) and all people who follow it are narrow-minded sheep

Stalker will be Far crys equal competitor everone wil lthink a differnt one will win. Frosty thinks Stalker and i think Far cry. They both have flaws and advantages and thus are equal

Nonono, you've got it the wrong way round, doom 3 and half life 2 (gonna have good mods though) are the same old fps formula, far cry is a breath of fresh air from all the corridoor fps's you see nowadays.

Name another fps like far cry.

far cry
1)The deadly dozen= had vehicles, huge levels, 1-man-army-type of game
2)GTA/GTA Vice City=1-man-army drive around game in huge environments doing NOTHING but to kill, kill, kill.
3)typical dumb fps story
4)no interesting game play other than to drive around killing people.

hl2
1)the physics actually become part of the game play(unlike far cry)
2)realistic looking characters to bring the player farther into the world of half-life for immersion (another thing it uses that are for game play, unlike far cry)
3)An actual story!!!
4) are there any other games that use Realistic characters, physics, and actual story, with good game play that’s an actual fps?!?!?!?! NO!

If HL2 doesn't come out this year, I am going to valvE studios and beating every one there to death with a Pinapple.

Do you know how few games come out when their release date is set for Driv3r was set for Jan. 2003 and it won't be out until late this year pretty much all Blizzard games come out close to a year late. Its actually quite rare that a game comes out on its release date... that dosent say anything for the actual game play... I can wait a little longer if the gameplay is better.

Far cry is on time. Half life 2 is late and Duke Nukem Forver says it all . Far cry has realistic Characters and more stuff too

Hmm. Maybe formulate your arguments better than "Far Cry 0wnz0rz", and don't back up your arguments with a beating from your stick. It really bruises, you know. Far Cry's a good game, but very sublime and budget when compared to what Half-Life 2 has going for it. While I'm not biased towards either, Half-Life 2 is going to be technologically superior. If you cannot accept my facts then accept this: Half-Life 2 has been in development for the last five years, and will still have another five months to continue development. Far Cry won't have more stuff than Half-Life 2. Far Cry's a nice game, but is nothing more. It is a simple action romp, nothing as ground-breaking as Deus Ex or Operation Flashpoint. Time will tell whether Half-Life 2 will also be a simple action romp too.

When i say Far Cry OwnZorZ it means i think its better, not better technology. It has good technology. Half life has very good technology i jsut dont think it has good gameplay etc

I think HL2 will be better but I will hate it any way if it doesn't come out soon.
